SFI Advances OSH Compliance and Emergency Preparedness Through Committee Meeting

Servicio Filipino continues to reinforce its commitment to workplace safety, health, and environmental responsibility through the conduct of its Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHE) Committee Meeting last May 5, 2026.

The meeting served as an important venue to review existing safety policies, discuss updates on the Safety, Health, and Environment Committee members, and align everyone on the company’s continuing efforts to maintain a safe, compliant, and prepared workplace.
The program opened with an introduction by Mr. Claudio Luto, Secretary, followed by a welcome message from President/CEO Luis Alberto Anastacio. One of the key highlights of the meeting was the oath-taking ceremony of the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee members, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a safe workplace in line with relevant occupational safety and health laws and guidelines.



The meeting also included the awarding of Work Environment Measurement Certificates to the President/CEO, followed by a message from Mr. Albert Alano, Senior Operations Manager.


Key discussions during the meeting covered accident, incident, and near-miss investigation reports and procedures, personal protective equipment policies and programs, emergency preparedness programs and procedures, OSH programs and policies, and preparations for upcoming safety audits and emergency drills.
As part of the session, members of the OSH Committee reaffirmed their commitment to carry out their duties and responsibilities in accordance with OSH law and its implementing guidelines, including the proper submission of reports required under the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
The meeting further emphasized the importance of proactive safety management. Beyond compliance, the committee’s role is to help build a culture where hazards are identified early, incidents are properly addressed, and employees are continuously guided on safe work practices.

The program also highlighted safety activities and concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Carlos N. Candelaria, reinforcing the importance of shared accountability in maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Through regular OSHE meetings, SFI strengthens coordination among its safety leaders and committee members, ensuring that safety programs remain updated, practical, and aligned with both regulatory requirements and workplace realities.
